Cunningham Terrace is a beautiful neighborhood located about 5 miles southwest of downtown Houston, within the upscale Southside Place community. Southside Place was barren farmland before development began in 1924. The subdivision was designed around a park complete with a pool, tennis courts, and pavilion and was finished in 1925. Once complete, the Cunningham Terrace neighborhood and the broader Southside community drew wealthy Houston families that wanted to escape downtown life. These days, many of the original homes still stand in their original glory and fetch a hefty price. The average home in Cunningham Terrace costs just under $600K.
