The Dorado neighborhood (also known as El Dorado) is a small residential and industrial community situated about 5 miles east of downtown Houston. One of the largest draws to the area is the lush Herman Brown Park. This park includes tennis courts, playgrounds, bike paths, walking trails, as well as acres of undisturbed forest. The Dorado community is also minutes from the 610 Loop, Texaco Country Club, San Jacinto College North, and Southern Bible College.
