Broadway shows and nationally recognized tours often stop in the downtown Houston area, allowing downtown apartment dwellers a chance to see some world-class entertainment.

The Museum District is also a draw for the downtown area. It is estimated that over 7 million people visit the many museums in downtown Houston each year. The Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Contemporary Arts Museum all attract famous traveling exhibits to the pleasure of Houston's downtown apartment occupants. For apartment residents uninterested in the arts, Houston also has a Zoo.

For people traveling within the neighborhood, MetroRail and the city bus system provide adequate transportation. Unlike many other Midwest cities, downtown Houston is also surprisingly easy to visit on foot. However, most residents still own cars to travel to other neighborhoods in this sprawling city.
