Eastwood is a charming, tight-knit residential community located about 2 miles southeast of downtown Houston. Developed in 1913, Eastwood is one of Houston’s first master-planned subdivisions. Much of the early 20th century character still remains too, with Mission, Foursquare, and Craftsman style homes interspersed throughout the neighborhood. Beyond gorgeous older homes and apartments, Eastwood is within walking distance of the new light rail system, Eastwood Park, and all the shopping, dining, and entertainment of downtown Houston. It’s is truly one of the last affordable, urban neighborhoods in Houston. How long that remains true is left to be seen.
